Compare Uptime Dog with other tools

Choosing a monitoring tool is easier with a fair comparison. Each page below covers what differs, what we include, and when the other product is the better choice.

How we compare

These pages compare things that are stable and that you can check: how each product is hosted, what it focuses on, how its pricing is structured and what Uptime Dog includes. We don't quote other companies' prices or plan limits, because they change and we'd rather send you to the source than be out of date. Every page is based on public information as of October 2026.

Each page also has a section on when the other product is the better choice. Some teams need a self-hosted tool, a mature logging platform, real user monitoring or the Atlassian ecosystem, and we'd rather you picked the right tool than the wrong one from us.

What Uptime Dog is good at

Uptime Dog is for small and medium teams who want uptime monitoring, status pages, incidents and on-call in one place, at a flat price in pounds. Failures are confirmed before anyone is alerted. Status pages update themselves from your monitors. On-call rotations and escalation policies keep going until someone acknowledges. Heartbeats watch cron jobs, browser checks walk through sign-in and checkout, and logs are searchable around every incident.

The Free plan has 20 monitors and a status page, so the easiest comparison is to try it alongside what you use now.
